SWOT Analysis Mind Map Template

SWOT is usually drawn as a 2×2 grid, which caps every box at the same size. As a map, each quadrant can grow as deep as it needs, and the "so what" of each point sits right underneath it. Strengths and weaknesses are internal; opportunities and threats come from outside.

How to fill it in

  1. Put the business, product or decision in the centre.
  2. Fill the four fixed branches. Internal first (S, W), then external (O, T).
  3. Under each point, add a short "so what" child: what you will do about it.
  4. Look for pairs: a strength that answers a threat is your strategy.
