Where outlines come from

Most note apps export Markdown or indented text: Obsidian, Notion (Export → Markdown), Google Docs (bulleted lists copy with indentation), Apple Notes and Word outlines all paste in cleanly. ChatGPT-style answers with bullets work too.

No outline yet? The AI mind map generator can write one from a topic or turn loose paragraphs into structure.

Questions people ask

What text formats does it understand?

Markdown headings (#, ##, ###), bullet lists (-, *, +), numbered lists (1.), and plain lines indented with tabs or spaces. The first un-indented line or top heading becomes the centre.

Can I convert Markdown to a mind map?

Yes. Paste a Markdown document; headings become branches and bullets beneath them become sub-branches. Bold, code and link syntax is stripped from the labels.

Is my text uploaded?

No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server.

Can I go back from mind map to text?

Yes. In the editor, Export → Markdown gives you a clean indented outline of any map.
