Decision Making Mind Map Template

Pros-and-cons lists hide the real trade-offs because every option gets the same two columns. A decision map gives each option its own branch with the same sub-branches, so you compare like with like, and it keeps the unknowns visible instead of quietly ignored.

Blank template. Best for: Anyone choosing between a few options: courses, job offers, tools, apartments.

How to fill it in

  1. State the decision as a question in the centre.
  2. One branch per option.
  3. Give every option the same children: pros, cons, cost, unknowns.
  4. Add a Criteria branch and ask which option wins on the criteria that matter most.
